Ndi Moyo and the Pentecostal Assemblies of God are delighted to announce they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a formal affiliation between the two organisations. Here, Sonu Kalaria, Vice Chair of the Ndi Moyo Board, and the Deputy Chief Bishop shake hands on the agreement.
Though Ndi Moyo will continue to care for those of all faiths and none, this affiliation will permit Ndi Moyo to become part of the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). This provides 30% of Malawi’s healthcare services, particularly in rural areas, and trains up to 80% of its healthcare providers. Its members are supported by the Malawi government through the paying of some staff salaries.
Thus, we hope that both organisations will gain: Ndi Moyo with some support towards staff funding and the Pentecostal Assemblies by its close association with a service caring for many of the most vulnerable in Malawi, fully in keeping with its own mission as a church.
